Dclcd lcd monitor driver11/12/2022 ![]() ![]() The grey screen is X without any window manager running. Waiting for X server to begin accepting connections Xlib: connection to ":1.0" refused by server I switch back with Ctrl+Alt+Backspace and the console has a lot of these:ĪUDIT: Mon Oct 1 13:06:53 2007: 8166 X: client 1 rejected from local host (uid 0) When i run the script, i see a grey screen with nothing on it. I have not tried any other application though. I have posted my xorg file, it is in there. I'd think one thing to look at is if 640x480 shows up in the X mode list in the xorg log file. I'd think one thing to look at is if 640x480 shows up in the X mode list in the xorg log file, and also if you can run something other than starcraft and have it work properly at 640x480 using that script (this narrows down the problem to whether the mode is being set properly before starcraft is run, or if starcraft is screwing it up by trying to set it itself). I run starcraft within kde and it automatically switches resolution correctly (however, if the game crashes, it doesn't switch it back). ![]() Last edited by manji_ on Wed 6:57 am edited 1 time in total Xinit /bin/sh -c "$WINE_CMD" - :1 -screen $SCREEN_RES -depth $SCREEN_BPP SCREEN_BPP="16" # Must be defined for screen in XF86Config SCREEN_RES="640x480" # Must match screen identifier in XF86Config WINE_CMD="cd $GAME_PATH wine - $GAME_EXE" GAME_PATH="/home/user/.wine/fake_windows/Spel/Starcraft" I tried to switch my desktop to 640x480 and then run the game, same happens. When in fullscreen, the game seems to be zoomed in, some of the graphics are missing. I am trying to run Starcraft throught wine.
